Molly Tayer joined Economic Development in February 2018 as the Housing Coordinator. The new position will identify opportunities to partner with private and non-profit developers and local housing authorities to build and retain affordable and attractive housing to address the growing need in our city for housing for the middle.
During the housing needs analysis accompanying the 2017 Affordable and Workforce Housing Task Force process, the Westminster City Council prioritized housing as a emergent area of concern and designated staff resource to focus on Westminster’s housing challenges and guide the implementation of identified solutions. Molly’s work plan is informed by the Affordable Housing Task Force Recommendations, as well as emergent opportunities identified in proposed development and redevelopment, and current and long-range planning objectives.
