As the COVID-19 public health crisis continues and restrictions once again become more stringent, the City of Westminster is committed to protecting the health of its businesses, and their employees!
To that end, the City is partnering with Adams County to provide free COVID-19 Rapid tests for employees of businesses in Westminster and surrounding Adams County municipalities. The new testing program will take place on Tuesday’s starting November 24, 2020 at Front Range Community College (3645 West 112th Ave.) in the west parking lot from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
“We are proud to partner with Adams County, and the Adams County Commissioners, particularly Commissioner Chaz Tedesco, to increase COVID-19 testing opportunities for the Westminster business community,” said Westminster Mayor Herb Atchison. “It is crucial that we continue to help our businesses stay afloat during this difficult time. By providing testing for them and their employees, we can ensure that people are healthy and getting back in the workforce as soon as possible.”
The test includes a telehealth consultation with a health care provider, and typical results are available for patients within two hours. No appointment is needed at the testing site, and you do not have to be symptomatic to receive the test.
The site at Front Range Community College was coordinated by the City of Westminster’s Innovation and Communication Division, Parks, Recreation and Libraries Department, and Economic Development Department. The testing initiative is one of several the City has implemented as part of its WestyRISE recovery efforts. Other programs include business grants, housing resources, and ongoing care calls to businesses.
